Terms of Service

Last updated:

⚠️ This is a starter template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review and adapt it before you launch and take payments.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using EchoDeck (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. The Service

EchoDeck lets you turn transcripts and audio into flashcards and shadowing practice, organise them into decks and workspaces, review them, and optionally share or export them. Features available to you depend on your plan.

3. Accounts

You’re responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and workspace keys secure. You must provide an accurate email address and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

4. Plans, billing & cancellation

Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown in the app and may change with notice. You can cancel anytime from the in-app billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the transcripts, audio, translations and decks you upload (“Content”). You grant us a limited licence to store and process your Content solely to operate the Service. You’re responsible for having the rights to any Content you upload, and for any decks you choose to make public.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload malware, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or abuse shared/public links. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but provide the Service “as is” without warranties. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of material changes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EchoDeck is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your data at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms.
